Recognising the quiet achievers

“I’m proud to be a Mental Fitness Leader because I feel like we’ve got so much to give and to be able to create opportunities to help other people, it’s really, really rewarding.” - Luke Jacobz.

The Gotcha4Life Mental Fitness Leadership Awards were created to recognise people taking outstanding action to strengthen connection, build mental fitness and support their communities in meaningful ways. These are the people who aren’t taking action out of any obligation, but rather from a deep motivation and genuine belief in the importance of mental fitness.

Across schools, workplaces, sporting clubs and local communities, we recognised people who are helping make mental fitness more visible through action. Teachers creating opportunities for students to feel connected and heard. Fundraisers bringing communities together and starting conversations that matter. Partners using their platforms to expand our reach and impact. Most of this work happens quietly, and often without recognition. But these kinds of actions have genuine impact on the long-term wellbeing of communities. We wanted to properly acknowledge the people making those contributions within their own villages and in championing a mentally fit future.
